An interview with Katia and Roberto Berloni
Let’s start from today, you’re back at Salone del Mobile after 8 years. Why did you choose to come back now?
We have recently gone through challenging years that brought us to a brave restructuration of the company. Now, Berloni is back with a solid and ambitious international board, a high-tech production plant and a very committed and multigenerational team that shows great growth potential.
How important is it for your company to keep a connection with the past by reinterpreting it into the future?
We are deeply connected to our territory, tradition and to Italian craftsman skills, but at the same time we’re open to innovation and new ideas. That’s why we work along with creatives, designers and architects (Eusebi, Telemaco, Marco Fumagalli and Luciano Grugni) to continuously look for better solutions in our products. The kitchen of the future as imagined by Berloni combines modern and digital, and not only will communicate with the user (regardless of the distance) more interactively but will also present enhanced features.
Your company combines tradition and industrial partners: where do you think this mix will lead you?
